DocuVault: s self-hosted LLM Wiki & DMS for Teams

Hi /r/selfhosted! I built DocuVault over the last 5 months because I wanted Obsidian-style documentation sharing for my development team, with grouping for our customers, but with the docs being either simple markdown or the more powerful html. I also wanted it all in git, but giving customers access to it without inviting them to our gitlab. So that's what it is: a web platform for editing markdown and html on top of Git, with a lot of view modes for xlsx, mp4, images, drawio, all with an AI integration in the platform if you want it. You can clone the repo, edit with your own editor or with Claude Code / Cursor, push, and the web UI shows the change. Or you can just use it to upload and view and share files, like a simple DMS. What's in it: • WYSIWYG editor that writes clean Markdown & HTML with version history per page • Spaces sync with a GitLab repo, or stay a local Git repo on the server • Built-in MCP server: point Claude Code or Cursor at /api/mcp, log in once in the browser, and your agent reads and writes docs with your permissions • Comments anchored to the text, public share links with password • Whitelabel: your own name, colour, logos and favicon on the login page, the app, shared pages and emails • Optional AI with an OpenAI-style key (ask across your docs with sources, quick notes that get filed into the right space).
