CloudBank 3.5 - a self-hosted web port of HomeBank: personal finance in one Docker container

I've used HomeBank for years, but it only runs on a desktop. I wanted the same kind of control over my finances from my phone, without uploading my financial data to someone else's cloud. So I built CloudBank: a self-hosted web port of HomeBank that you can run yourself. It's been public since June 2026. Version 1.0 reached parity with HomeBank, and 3.5 is out today with the new mobile experience. What you get: • One Docker container: Go backend + React frontend + SQLite. No external database required. • Native HomeBank .xhb import and export, so you can move your existing data in either direction. • QIF, OFX/QFX, CSV and CAMT.053 import. • Accounts, register with running balance, splits, transfers and reconciliation. • Scheduled transactions, budgets, bills, savings goals and reports. • Optional bank sync using your own credentials: SimpleFIN, Enable Banking (EU/UK, PSD2) and Pluggy (experimental). CloudBank never sees your bank login. • Multi-user support, 2FA, API tokens and an installable PWA. • English and Italian. • Optional AI features, using your own API key. The new 3.5 release is mostly about using it on a phone. The register, overview, filters and accounts now work down to a 320px-wide screen, and syncing/reviewing an account can be done directly from its register. It wrote most of the code, but it works in my repository under my direction; I decide what gets built, review the changes, test them with my own data, and review/merge every PR. The repository is public, so you don't have to take my word for how it was built. The commits include the AI co-author attribution, each issue follows a one-issue → one-PR workflow, UI PRs include before/after screenshots, and every PR has to pass CI: Go and web tests, linting, a Docker build, and a Playwright end-to-end suite running against the actual container. CloudBank is also a clean-room implementation of HomeBank's behaviour and file format, not a copy of its code. No HomeBank source is used, and the coding agent is explicitly instructed not to copy from it or from incompatible sources. It's free and AGPL-3.0.
